Fair Play Music is not a record label. It is the definitive source for unsigned musicians, whether you are a band or solo artist, string quartet or drum and bass. Fair Play Music is non profit making, set up by musicians, for musicians. Funded by sponsors and advertisers, Fair Play Music can promote you and your music throughout the UK… free! As a registered act, the current benefits include:

Subsidised audio CD replication. You can get your CDs pressed at less than a third of the price of dealing direct with your CD replicator.
Details of your act can be viewed by millions of users throughout the UK, looking for unsigned music. Users can simply use the innovative Fair Play Music search engine to find acts by region, genre, line up or name.
Gig promotion. Using your personal admin area you can input details of your up and coming gigs and it will be inserted into the gig search database.
CD promotion. Using your personal admin area you can input details of your CD catalogue. You will soon be able to post up MP3 samples too.
Personalised page on the Fair Play Music site, complete with secure admin area. Within your secure area you can add gigs, update details and manage your FPM page.

These are just some of the benefits of becoming a registered act. Over time the Fair Play Music plan will role out offering much more to both the musician and registered user.

By fair, we mean fair.
You are not tied into a contract or bound to stay with Fair Play Music. If you want to leave, just delete yourself from the database and your page and details will be removed. Simple.

The Fair Play Music site will be promoted in a number of different ways including PR, interviews, sponsorship, advertising and affiliate deals with complementary service providers.

OK, OK, enough already… how do I join?
Go to the band registration area and insert your details. You will then be emailed a password to access your secure admin area. Once in your admin area you can develop your FPM page details and start promoting your act. Piece of cake.

If you're registered, get ripping your music into MP3 files and post em up to your act area.

Visitors
Search for any act by genre, line up or region. Once you have found your independent act, check out the latest sounds by clicking on the play button. If there is no play button on the page, there are no music files to download.We now have a PR company working for us, promoting Fair Play Music on the radio, TV and the press.
